The Nelson Family

The Nelson Family always knows how to have a good time! I have known this family for many years time and they always find a way to enjoy being together. The joke of the session is that younger daughter, Laura, was trying to teach Brianna how to do a 'wistful' look for her her solo photos. Brianna never could stop giggling long enough but we captured Brianna's cheerful disposition and Laura's serious side showing each of the girls' authentic personality. Beth's Getting Married!

Beth is getting married! In November Beth will marry the love of her life, Brett, in Loreto, Mexico! Many of her friends and family will make the trip to celebrate her Wedding day. To share the celebration with those who can't make the trip, her bridal shower was a Mexican theme from the bright colors to the delicious home made burritos! They were quite delicious. Everyone spent the afternoon enjoying delicious food, fabulous company and playing a couple bridal shower games as well as croquet. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding Beth!

I love photographing big families! Brock and Sarah and their five kids make every outing high-energy and fun. If you only look at two photos in this blog entry, look at the first one and the last one. The photo of the 5 kids on the bridge melts my heart. Each of their personalities are shining through in this image. 5 kids plus Mom and Dad are quite a group to wrangle at a park on a late summer evening, but we had a fabulous time looking for great places to play as well as fit everyone comfortably into a spot for a quick photo.

Mark & Christina's Anniversary!

To celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary, Mark and Christina met me in the heart of Seattle and major tourist attraction, Pike Place Market, bright and early Saturday morning for our photo shoot. We expected gorgeous weather, afterall, it was July. But we should have known that living in Seattle the weather is anything but predictable. The overcast sky provided some beautiful ambient lighting but in exchange we were quite cold. We still had fun and what a wonderful way to celebrate their anniversary. These are the first professional photos since their 2008 wedding which took place in London. It was great fun playing tourists for the day visiting many local tourist attractions like the Pike Place Market fish throwers, Pier 57 and the Gum Wall. Urban photoshoots are such a delight with all the visual interest and when it comes to creativity in the Emerald City, the overcast sky is the limit!
